We urge the government to enforce a strict 11 p.m. curfew on fireworks nationwide. We believe this policy would allow for cultural celebrations while prioritising the wellbeing of elderly residents, children, pets, and the wider community.
To protect the wellbeing and peace of all residents, particularly vulnerable groups like the elderly, young children, and pets, who are often distressed by loud, unexpected noises. We think this policy would help balance cultural celebrations with respect for the quiet hours we think are necessary for public health and community harmony.
