Milestones

We call on the UK Government to extend eligibility for funded childcare hours available to working parent BN(O) visa holders. We think this support could help BN(O) families contribute more fully to the UK economy and diverse communities, promoting fair treatment for all working families in the UK.

We believe families with NRPF status face financial hardship as they cannot access benefits like Universal Credit and pay high fees to renew their visa. We think without 30 hours free childcare parents struggle to support their families on low incomes. We think funded childcare for BN(O) families would promote fairness, improve economic stability, helping parents balance work and family. We believe it would aid children’s integration and recognize BN(O) families as valued contributors to the UK.
