I believe that people who are living with parents should get the same as a single person living on their own because they still need the money to pay for their own bills and transportation to and from interviews, job centre appointments and for health appointments.
Currently, those living with parents receive lower UC payments as they lose the housing element of the payment. I would like the Government to change this and ensure that those living with parents or other close relatives still receive the full payment. I think this is unfair as these people may still have to pay for transport to attend appointments within the job centre, if they do not drive and rely on public transport. The person also need to keep themselves fed as well.
