I want the Government to change the law so that corrections to a birth registration are made to the relevant part of the full birth certificate, not in a marginal note.
If a registrar makes a mistake in entering the sex of a child this cannot corrected on register itself, only in a note in the margin. This may affect the child's future making life difficult for them when getting married, applying for jobs and everything else they need a birth certificate for.
