Milestones

There are about 50,000 deaf children in the UK. I would like the Government to make all schools introduce British sign language as a mandatory lesson in the curriculum.

I think it’s disgusting that in 2024 BSL is not mandatory in schools. When deaf children start school I want them to be able to communicate with other kids and thrive in a normal school environment, but until there’s a change it won't be possible. I believe it's about time it’s added to the curriculum!
