We call upon the UK Government and Parliament to implement requirements for coercive control awareness training for all professionals working in these sectors - healthcare, education, social services and police forces.
Coercive control is a subtle yet damaging form of domestic abuse that can have devastating effects on men women & children. Despite its seriousness, we think many professionals lack the necessary training to identify & respond effectively to coercive control. By ensuring all professionals receive comprehensive training, we think we can create a safer environment for victims, promote early intervention & improve support services. We believe prioritising this training is crucial in breaking the cycle of abuse.
