Recently, it was reported that flying objects were making incursions into airspace above US airbases located in the UK, with what I believe appears to be minimal effective deterrence. The UK government must be as transparent as possible with what it knows about these craft.
I believe any unauthorised incursion of airspace is significant and particularly around military bases, with the potential associated threat to national security. In my view, the government is undoubtedly responding in some way and should be as open as possible about what it thinks the incursions were and the level of threat they may pose – obviously without compromising the operational effectiveness of any ongoing response.
