The law should require that Social Service visits for at-risk children be unannounced and must include a physical check of the child in question to spot any signs of harm. Social Workers should be required by law to remain on site until the child has been seen and checked over.
I am saddened by the cases of babies and children who have been tortured and killed. The cruelty they suffered is beyond imagination.
