Milestones

We demand that the UK Parliament immediately outlaws all AI platforms, and uses diplomatic means to pressure other countries to do the same, unless and until there is a clear and internationally-agreed framework for its use.

Even then, we demand that the UK governmental oversight and security checks be applied to any AI processes undertaken (by private corporations or public sector bodies) akin to those applicable to issues of national defence. The reasoning is straightforward; as is widely and easily available to see on social media channels, if commercial Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms can take an internationally-trusted voice and make that voice say literally anything, then none of us will ever be able to discern truth from fiction, in any sphere. The implications for humanity are profound and disturbing.
