We want the government to change the rule for claiming Pension Credit when you have a partner who is under state pension age.
At the moment, when someone makes a claim for pension credit and their partner, who they live with, is below pensionable age, then the claim is not accepted, unless the claimant is receiving Housing Benefit for people over State Pension age. This can bar pensioners with younger partners from claiming Pension Credit. We think this is unfair.
