We do not think that the £50m of international aid for Syrians (announced recently) should be provided. We think it should be spent on the UK instead.

We think the primary aim of the government should be to protect the people of the country in which it governs, not to aid foreign nationals in another country. We think that it is unfathomable that the winter fuel allowance that so many pensioners rely upon was stopped, but international aid has been announced.
