Milestones—
We want the government to abolish Ofwat and replace it with a new body. We think the government should produce new legislation so that the cost of investment in the water system is shared more by shareholders of water companies and housebuilders
We think the Ofwat price settlements for 2025-30 will have considerable impact on the public and impact most on the less well off. We believe the environment has been damaged by delayed investment and short term profit taking, and that we need those who have taken so much profit from poorly regulated monopolies to pay to put thing right.
