I am petitioning to review the law as it currently stands to ensure it recognises that assault without injury can have the same impact on someone's life with those with physical injuries caused by assault.

An assault that causes no physical injury may leave the victim traumatised with problems that is life changing for them and family. We think the review should consider how long before someone’s conviction becomes spent, when they are convicted of any type of assault that has changed someone's life. The review should also consider penalties.
