Milestones—
Amend the 1985 Landlord and Tenant Act to require that individuals holding senior positions within a Residents Association—such as Chairman, Treasurer, or Secretary—must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the Landlord or managing agent responsible for collecting Service Charges.
I believe there could be instances of corruption within Resident Associations, where committee members could be colluding with managing agents and landlords to misrepresent other association members. By making conflicts of interest transparent, I believe we could reduce the occurrence of dishonest and fraudulent behaviour.
