Young people, in particular, are often both victims and perpetrators of knife crime. We think this highlights the urgent need for targeted interventions. We think the emotional and societal costs of knife crime are profound, affecting families, communities, and the fabric of our society.
Knife crime has seen a troubling rise in recent years, with statistics revealing an alarming increase in incidents. Let’s make a difference and try as a nation to make this change. We think the Government should set out in legislation that any crime involving a knife has a minimum sentence of 10 years.
