Milestones

We would like the Government to ensure that the national minimum wage does not include commission, bonus, and incentive-based pay.

We believe that the intention of minimum wage increases is to improve living standards for workers, not to limit the gain from hard work and strong performance. We feel this change could motivate workers to exceed target expectations, perpetuating productivity, and maintaining the essence of commission and incentive-based roles. Instead we feel workers currently can excel and exceed expectations for no additional remuneration, as commission is used to ‘top up’ base salary to minimum wage.
