We believe that any prospective MP upon nomination should be required to declare if they are or have ever been a Solicitor, Barrister & Judge. If they have they would be disqualified from being an MP.
We believe the aforementioned Solicitors, Barristers & Judges, do and have served a very important and valued position in society. However we think they are intrinsically linked to upholding and preserving the current legislation. In our view this could lead to a conflict of interest preventing them adequately representing the views of constituents wanting to change.
