Milestones—
I would like the government to review and limit the regulations that temporary accommodation companies can impose on their tenants.
The number of people in temporary accommodation is rising. Not being in your own home is bad enough on mental health, let alone if you are not allowed visitors. In some temporary accommodation, you are not allowed to stay out overnight and in some, residents have to sign a daily register to prove they have been in the property. Children may lose their social skills and bonds with family members and parents may lose jobs because they can’t get childcare, if they can’t have a someone such as a grandparent in the property to help.
