Please pass legislation that bans the Nazi salute, and condemns individuals, and punishes repeat offenders with fines or imprisonment.

We think the resurgence of far-right extremism in the UK and Europe is a sobering reality. 80 years after the horrors of World War II, we think the Nazi salute—a symbol of hate, oppression, and genocide—is being dangerously normalised by reckless individuals who trivialise the sacrifices of millions. History shows us the devastating consequences of allowing hate to flourish. To honour the memory of those who fought for freedom and to safeguard a society built on equality and respect, we think we must ban the Nazi salute.
