Fund access to Lecanemab on the NHS, which is available privately for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s but is not available on the NHS due to cost.
This drug has been shown to have significant success in reducing the progression of Alzheimer’s, a condition which can lead to the deaths of so many loved people every year. I think it's barbaric that this isn't available on the NHS due to cost, when we pay NI in our wages every month and expect treatment when needed. It is heartbreaking to see people suffer from this condition, knowing there’s a treatment that could slow the progression, and this decision and loss boils down to finances.
