Milestones

We think that any students who are taking healthcare courses to work in the NHS should not have to pay tuition fees and they should be paid for the shifts they work on placement in the NHS.

Currently to become a qualified as a nurse you need 3 years at university on a course costing over £9k pa. You will be unable to work properly to fund this as the courses are full time. As well as this you will be expected to work for over 2300 hours including unpaid 12hr shifts and somehow fund travel to and from your placements. We think this is putting off students from the UK from applying.
