Milestones

Review safeguarding, accessibility, and accommodations in schools for disabled students. Consider the use of CCTV with audio in classrooms, mandatory teaching assistant support, remote learning for crisis days, uniform flexibility, and review how to best use fines for schools.

Ofsted’s judgement ratings do not include a separate rating for safeguarding in schools. Review of complaints to Ofsted may take 30 working days. We think the process includes inaccessible forms which may delay action. We believe LADO must lead investigations instead of overseeing them. We think schools that fail to act on safeguarding concerns must face fines and stricter oversight. We believe some parents are being forced to safeguard their children by removing them from school—this is unacceptable & must be addressed immediately.
