We are asking the government to require minimum safe staffing levels in care homes. We think there should be 1 carer for every 5 residents as otherwise care homes may not be able to provide person centred care meeting the needs of residents

We believe some care homes are understaffed and residents needs are not being met in a timely manner. We think some business owners are allowing unsafe practices due to the cost of recruiting more staff and we think this may be putting residents' safety and staff reputations at risk.
