The government promised in their election manifesto that they would provide access to specialist mental health professionals in every school. I want ring-fenced funding for this to be rolled out urgently. I think all schools should be able to offer what can often be a life saving provision.

Young people face many battles. Some young lives have been lost to suicide. There are long waiting lists for mental health support for young people and they often have to be at crisis point to access it. I don't believe that complex mental health needs are being supported. I think we must fill the gap now with inclusive and accessible provision.
