Review marginal cost pricing which we think unfairly ties electricity prices to natural gas. We demand a fair pricing system that reflects actual electricity costs potentially lowering costs for consumers.

We believe UK energy prices are among the highest globally due to marginal cost pricing. We think this prevents cheaper renewables from lowering bills, making energy unaffordable for some. Decoupling pricing, ensuring fair rates, and stabilizing costs could protect some consumers from financial strain. The Government should act now to create a fairer, more affordable system.
