Require a one-week minimum payment period for charges associated with using services such as road tolls or pick-up/drop-off. People have busy lives and may not always be able to make payments within such a short window of time. Therefore, we believe the payment period should be a minimum of one week
We believe people do not object to paying for these services; however, imposing such a short payment window is unfair. We think the government should set a minimum payment period that protects consumers from being exploited by inefficient organisations that use this scheme for revenue generation. Examples of services that would be covered include the M6 Toll, Dartford Toll, and airport pick-up and drop-off.
