I would like the Government to legalise euthanasia for people suffering with late onset Dementia. I think people should be able to decide the quality of life they want.
After someone is diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's and their quality of life deteriorates beyond their personal standard, they should have the choice to be euthanised. Dementia and Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease which may cause life changing pressures within the family unit for many years. People should not have to endure this if they don't want to. I would like people to have a choice regarding the minimum quality of life they will accept.
