In its current format, the EPR regulations disproportionately impact businesses using glass. We think the regulations should be changed from a weight-based fee structure to a unit-based one to help towards the UK's Net Zero Goals.

The weight-based fee structure disproportionately impacts businesses using glass despite it being one of the most sustainable and safest packaging materials available. We believe the current EPR model: - Drives up costs for businesses and consumers during a cost-of-living crisis - Pushes companies to switch to less sustainable materials - Gives an advantage to imported glass with higher carbon footprints
