Milestones

The UK is slashing development aid to fund defence—which we think undermines its global leadership & is risking lives. Aid helps fight poverty, prevent crises & boost security. Reverse ODA cuts & restore UK leadership in global development.

We think the UK has long been a leader in global development, but that slashing aid from 0.5% to 0.3% of Gross National Income weakens our influence, risks lives, and undermines security. Aid can help prevent crises, foster stability, and support economic growth. We think cutting it is short-sighted and harms both the world and the UK. We call on the government to reverse ODA cuts and restore our leadership in global development.
