We think the government must require landlords, management companies & insurance providers to pay the costs to make homes safe. We think leaseholders must be protected. We think insurance & management companies turn huge profits on property & should be accountable for safe homes they manage.

We think this is unethical and unfair to expect renters or leaseholders to shoulder this expense. We think leaseholders and renters can not be held financially responsible for critical and safety repairs on parts of a building that they could not be reasonably expected to know and were not aware of. We think that this is what insurance and management companies must accept is their responsibility and duty to assure a safe home for their tenants and customers.
