Introduce legal consequences for local authorities that fail to address antisocial behaviour.
Make Environmental Health departments accountable for failures to deal with antisocial behaviour. Prosecute Environmental Officers where there is demonstrated breach of duty. We think antisocial behavior negatively impacts individuals, families, and communities. It may lead to social isolation and poor mental health. It may result in stress, strained relationships, and emotional distress. We think communities are facing increased crime, fear, and a decline in social cohesion, which can put a strain on public services. We think overall, antisocial behaviour creates a cycle of harm that affects quality of life in society.
