We want the Government to ban guarantor policies as we think this could reduce the rates of homelessness. We think access to homes should be based on individual merit and earnings without the need of external parties' reliance.
We would like the Government to ban guarantor policies, we think it puts people with disadvantaged backgrounds and lack of family support in detrimental situations such as involuntary homelessness which can in turn increase rates of crime, drugs, violence etc. We feel it can also put students at a disadvantage risk of being homeless too especially if they don't have the means and resources of family members to help them out.
