Milestones

Adopt a policy advancing the UK’s AI sector and reducing animal testing by requiring companies to replace pharmaceutical and other testing with AI modelling where possible. We think this aligns with existing government goals, promoting innovation while reducing reliance on animal experiments.

We think animal testing has long been a necessary but unfortunate and unpopular practice for assessing new medicines. With advancements in AI, we think we now have the opportunity to replace these methods with other alternatives. We think urgent action is needed to apply AI where possible, reducing animal suffering and improving scientific outcomes. We think that every day without change means more unnecessary harm.
