We want the Government to change sentencing so that reoffending violent youths have the same treatment as adults even if it’s in a youth offenders prison. We feel if action is taken now this could make society safer and better.

We think if youths who are re-offenders of violence are sentenced the same as adults this could deter reoffending. Youth crime is on the up. We want the Government to address this with urgency, for victims of violence this can experience serious mental health issues and increase risk to life.
