Introduce a new law against price gouging practices. We think legislation is necessary against practices which increase the price of goods and commodities to unfair and unreasonable levels. We believe Parliament must step up to protect consumer rights.

We are concerned that price-gouging unnecessarily puts extra pressure on some families which may be already struggling with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. We think this practice disproportionately affects working-class individuals, some of whom may live paycheck-to-paycheck. This practice should be regulated to ensure fair prices, especially on staple foods and necessary goods.
