We want the government to review school attendance rules when a child has medical appointments, hospital admissions or health requirements and they are immune compromised/have exceptional circumstances.
I think that schools have become too strict and have ostracised children and parents with medical requirements. I feel that parents have had added pressure put on them from the attendance system in a situation where they are fighting to keep their child healthy, as well as educated. I think a review is needed to make adjustments.
