We want the Government to legislate to change the highway code so cyclists have to abide by the speed limits on roads.
Currently The Highway Code (Rule 124) and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 don't include cyclists in speed limit regulations meant for motor vehicles. We feel this is causing a danger as it allowing cyclists to undertake vehicles which can lead to accidents. We also think it is a danger to pedestrians, a cyclist hitting a pedestrian still causes damage to both pedestrians and rider.
