Milestones

We want the Government to remove what we feel are prohibitive taxes and duties on independently owned pubs as well as business rates. We believe this would help them start to thrive once again.

The traditional pub is a British institution, but we think that it is dying, and that it has been dying for years, now only surviving as imitations of their true selves, as chains or brewery pubs. The traditional pub should be a cornerstone of the community as we feel it once was. It is a part of our culture for good and bad but I feel that most of the public feel its loss. We think the government would also make more in revenue from these institutions if they are not constantly closing.
