We call on the Government to bring forth legislation that will prohibit all economic and charitable activities, including any trade and investment, with any illegal settlement in territories deemed occupied under international law.
Successive UK governments have held the position that settlements in territories deemed occupied under international law are illegal. We believe such settlement enterprises entail serious breaches of peremptory norms of international law. We believe the UK’s failure to ban all trade and investment activities by UK-based businesses with illegal settlements could be contrary to the UK’s obligated duties under international law.
