Milestones

Allocate funding so that unpaid carers can have at least one night off per month. This will help prevent burnout and job losses among carers who suffer extreme sleep deprivation while they care for loved ones.

I believe chronic sleep deprivation is a daily reality for many unpaid carers and contributes to burnout. With respite care often costing more than £100 per night and Carers Allowance at just £83.30 per week, which barely covers the rising living costs, I believe more funding is needed to help carers have a proper rest while caring.
