We want the Government to set requirements that during family court proceedings, once a parent is arrested and bailed for domestic abuse, they are only allowed supervised contact with their children by social services, CAFCASS and the family courts system.

We want the Government to set requirements that during family court proceedings, once a parent is arrested and bailed for domestic abuse, they are only allowed supervised contact with their children by social services, CAFCASS and the family courts system. We think this will better support and recognise the true impacts of domestic abuse and allow opportunities for victims of the abuse to come forward without fear of losing custody of their children to abusive parents. We also think this could better safeguard and protect children to prevent abuse.
