I would like the government to change the rules for the statutory provision of transport for children with education, health and care plans (EHCPs). I want them to protect in law the right to education transport for all children with an EHCP between the ages of 16 and 19
Young people are now required to stay in education or training until they are 18. I am concerned that due to a lack of funding, a whole generation of disabled teenagers are having to leave education earlier than their non disabled peers as they are not able to get to school, or their parents are having to give up work to take them.
