We call on the Government to call for an immediate ceasefire in South Sudan to prevent further loss of life and humanitarian suffering, and to call for more humanitarian aid access for humanitarian organisations so that they can provide urgent assistance to affected communities.

We are very concerned by reports of bombardments and the use of weapons on civilians in Nasir and Longechuk in the Upper Nile State in South Sudan.
