We think security personnel are vital to public safety, yet their compensation often fails to reflect their responsibilities, risks, and financial burdens. We call on the UK government to increase their minimum wage to 10% above the standard minimum wage.
We think security personnel safeguard lives, manage emergencies, and ensure public safety in high-risk situations, often without fair pay. We think they face financial burdens from mandatory SIA licensing and training costs, often paid out of pocket. We think they deserve a wage 10% above the standard minimum to reflect their vital role.
