We feel opportunities for recreation is extremely limited for those with learning difficulties in comparison to the more able. We think it should be a legal requirement that a business offering recreation to adults and children to offer regular, exclusive sessions suitable for ALN.
We think the number of exclusive sessions should be at least proportionate to the number of children and adults with learning difficulties. These opportunities could be published on a central database for parents/carers to access. We think parents/carers should not have to rely on charities providing ad hoc opportunities.
