This could create a lesson where a child reads a book for a set amount of time.

Because according to the National Literacy Trust in 2024, only 1 in 5 (20.5%) 8- to 18-year-olds said they read something daily in their free time in 2024, the lowest level since 2005, with daily reading levels decreasing by 7.5 percentage points in the last year alone.
