Milestones

Make it a legal requirement for religious organisations to publish their child protection and safeguarding policies with consequences for not doing so. They must publish any plans, processes, procedures, their resource levels and auditable records of accusations and investigations.

The public needs trust and transparency. Government must demand religious organisations have robust, visible and auditable processes in place relating to child safeguarding.
