I want the government to greatly reduce the duty rates charged on beer which should in turn should reduce the cost of beer to the consumers.
Beer has been a UK institution for centuries. There have been beer styles (such as IPA and Porter), inventions (like the wheel drum malt kiln) and important work to protect cask beer, that have put the UK clearly on the map and draws beer lovers from around the world to experience it. Why then should it almost be classed as a luxury to drink craft beer often brewed from smaller breweries? Pubs and breweries are often closing and this may be down to rising duty and tax.
