We want the Government to work with international partners to support the implementation of a no-fly zone over central and western Ukraine. We believe this measure is urgently needed to protect civilians, humanitarian corridors, and critical infrastructure from aerial attacks.

We think the UK can and should champion the creation of limited no-fly or humanitarian air protection zones in regions of Ukraine that are distant from active frontlines. We believe seeking to implement a no-fly zone over central and western Ukraine could serve to protect vulnerable populations, maintain stability in humanitarian operations, and demonstrate the UK’s continued leadership in standing against unlawful aggression.
