Milestones

Raise tax relief rates for the UK audio-visual sector (with emphasis on animation and VFX) to match global competitors, broaden eligibility to include digital and immersive media, and introduce regional incentives to support growth outside of London.

Though AVEC was a step forward from the existing Animation Tax Relief (ATR), other countries offer higher or more accessible tax reliefs (up to 40%) which draws talent and investment away from the UK. We believe that expanding relief will help retain world-class talent, attract international productions, support regional development, and bolster growth in the UK's creative sector.
